It is our great pleasure to warmly invite you to the 2025 KALAS (Korean Association for Laboratory Animal Science) 40th Anniversary International Symposium, entitled with ‘GIANTS (Global Insights in AdvaNcing Translational Sciences)’ at Jeju International Convention Center (Jeju ICC) in Jeju island from July 23 (Wed) to 26 (Sat) in 2025.

The bioscience is rapidly changing and developing, and along with the development of the life science, responsibility in the field of laboratory animals is becoming more important. To celebrate the 40th anniversary, a total of 20 sessions of various lectures have been prepared to reflect the trend of the latest research. These include two keynote lectures, eight sponsored symposiums, a IACUC session, two KLAT educational sessions, a KALAS-CALAS joint symposium, and so on.

The symposium will be supported by several institutions and organizations including KOFST(Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies), KIT(Korea Institute of Toxicology), KMPC(Korea Model Animal Priority Center), NIFDS(National Institute of Food and Drug Safety Evaluation), KMEDIhub, KBIOhealth, KRIBB(Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology), KFRI(Korea Food Research Institute), KCLAM(Korean College of Laboratory Animal Medicine), KIRMS(Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences), and I would like to thank everyone who participated in this symposium.

I hope all participants will enjoy this KALAS 40th Anniversary International Symposium, where they can broaden their academic knowledge and cherish precious memories in Jeju Island.
